A $65.6 million high-rise development that could see another 229 units introduced to a burgeoning metropolis has been submitted for the Rouse Hill railway precinct.
A development application for 166 Guntawong Rd, Rouse Hill will go before the Sydney West Central Joint Regional Planning Panel as developers race to secure their vision for the region around the Cudgegong Road Metro Station.
Eight residential high-rise apartment complexes will be built across three stages if the development application is approved.
It will include 44 one, 173 two and 12 three-bedroom units.
The application said the dwellings would contribute towards increasing the housing mix and types within Rouse Hill by providing a mix of one, two and three-bedroom units.
“Furthermore, the proximity to Cudgegong train station will promote public transportation uses and the increase in residents will increase patronage to the planned future village centre,” it said.
In November, the Rouse Hill Times revealed that more than $1.1 billion worth of residential and retail space development was planned for the Cudgegong Road Precinct across 15 development applications.
Last week residential developer Landcom also revealed plans for 1100 dwellings, retail and parks for the area.
