A whole new world of food can be discovered in kitchens that run on wheels so we’ve compiled a list of food trucks that you can spot across the west when you’re feeling peckish.
Below are some of the best we’ve seen so far.
The American BBQ Kitchen/Birdman Food Truck
Inspired by the rapper and the love they have for Korean flavours, Birdman Food Truck is the place to hit up if you’re looking for spicy chicken and a chef with a sense of humour.
Head Chef, John-Ray Boukarim, started in the world of food markets and mastered his culinary skills by setting up numerous successful food market stalls across Sydney.
He started his first food truck, The American BBQ Kitchen, because he’s always been a passionate smoker. With the focus items beef and pork, you can get stuck into the wagyu burger or the signature meat platter containing 14-hour smoke beef brisket and 10-hour smoked pulled pork.
Once The American BBQ Kitchen got on its feet, Mr Boukarim set his eyes on his very own KFC – Korean Fried Chicken and such was the humble beginnings of Birdman Food Truck.
“If you’re dropping by you need to try the popcorn chicken, cracker burger or meat platter. That’s our most popular stuff,” head chef Boukarim told the Penrith Press.
The mobility of the trucks allows Boukarim to take his flavours anywhere and he caters to all events. You can also catch his delicious bites in areas like Bella Vista, Gladesville and beyond.
