Wallacia: Bun Lim allegedly found with MDMA in bum bag at festival

A western Sydney man was one of six men allegedly caught selling illegal drugs at the Transmission Electronic Dance festival, leading to the discovery of what police allege was about 200 MDMA capsules.

A Wallacia man allegedly caught with almost 200 MDMA pills in his bum bag at the Transmission Music Festival faced court today.

Bun Lim, 31, was one of six people police allegedly found with a total of 1878 MDMA capsules at the electronic dance festival on February 8.

Lim was approached during a high-visibility police operation by officers who believed they witnessed the man supply prohibited drugs.

The incident occurred about 8.20am at Sydney Olympic Park.

They searched Mr Lim and located 195 MDMA capsules and $790 cash in his bum bag.

He was charged with supply a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.

He appeared at Burwood Local Court today on strict conditional bail, as his matter was adjourned for six weeks until March 26, for a drug and alcohol assessment.

Mr Lim surrendered his passport to police today as part of his bail conditions.

As well as Mr Lim, police charged a Greenacre woman, 18, with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug after she was discovered to have 180 MDMA capsules concealed internally.

She will appear at Burwood Local Court on March 9.

Another man from Hinchinbrook, 18, will face court on March 16 after he was allegedly found with 201 MDMA capsules stashed in his underwear and a Strathfield man, 19,

was allegedly located with 10005 MDMA capsules packaged in condoms and hidden in his pants and underwear, as well as LSD tabs and a credit card knife.
