Get a Swysh for Father's Day

Father’s Day has got to be one of the most celebrated days on the Aussie calendar.

But when you think of ‘influencer parents’, chances are the first thing to pop to mind are chiselled demi-Gods who don’t seem to do a single thing wrong and that can be intimidating.

So never fear because that won’t be the case with these folks. It’s safe to say that these Aussie dad’s will light up your feed with nothing but pure love and the occasional dad joke. After all, it wouldn’t be Father’s Day without one.

Matthew Johnson/Matty J - @matthewdavidjohnson

I know what you’re thinking. Is this who I think it is?

Yes, it is Matty J, the dashingly handsome man who graced our screens and swept us off our feet on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

The 34-year-old Bachelor star and his gorgeous fiance Laura Byrne, 33, welcomed their first daughter, Marlie-Mae Rose Johnson, into the world in June 2019.

And in February this year, they welcomed their second daughter, Lola Ellis Johnson, into their family.

Now-a-days, Matty has made the transition from reality TV to hilariously relatable parent content.

Matty J shares the joys and challenges of fatherhood on TikTok - from showing the true dangers of rocking an all-white ensemble around an eating child, to pondering just how it is that babies know the difference between when you’re sitting and standing.

Many of you would know Mat Stevenson as a former Home and Away heart-throb, when he played Adam Cameron alongside Dannii Minogue in the early ’90s.

But he has also since appeared in Neighbours, Blue Heelers, MDA, City Homicide, Rush and Offspring.

Stevenson is a great dad and spoke to The Sunday Project earlier this year about his experience being a parent of a transgender child, his daughter, Grace Hyland.

In August this year, the supportive Dad made a reappearance on people’s FYP’s when he adopted his daughter’s transgender best friend, Belle Bambi, who had been rejected by her own family.

Grace shared the news on her TikTok and Stevenson was applauded by many.

Their TikTok fame came about when daughter, Bec, uploaded a video of her dad, Grant, struggling to open his new laptop.

The punchline is the fact that Grant, who works as an engineer for Western Power, had the device upside down.

Since then their clips include a vast array of content from Grant dressing up for The Bachelor finale to washing dishes with a hose.

Their comeos often feature other family members and Beatrice, the family doggo.

If you’re ever looking for a beanie loving dad joke enthusiast to brighten up your day, Grant Stacy will never let you down so chuck him a follow next time you’re on TikTok.
