Two men to face Penrith Local Court after $3.5m drug bust in western Sydney

Police have seized more than $3.5m of cocaine in a western Sydney drug bust that has landed two men in court.

NSW Police said officers called to a warehouse in Erskine Park on October 21 had seized about 5kg of cocaine in a package labelled “motor vehicle parts”.

When a 27-year-old man attended the warehouse on the same day, allegedly in an attempt to collect the parcel, he was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station.

A short time later, investigations also led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man at a motel in Doonside.

That man was then taken to Blacktown Police Station.

Police will allege in court that the two men had also picked up a second package, containing about 5kg of cocaine, in Enfield on October 15.

“The estimated street value of the drugs seized is more than $3.5m,” police said.

Both men were charged with taking part in the supply of a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

They have both been refused bail to face Penrith Local Court on Tuesday.
