A forklift driver has been charged with manslaughter following a shocking workplace death at St Marys last year.
The man, aged 59, is charged with causing the death of a man at a business on Links Rd on February 1 last year.
Police officers from Nepean Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene about 12.30pm following reports a man was pinned between a truck and a forklift.
The man, aged 40, died at the scene.
In the wake of the horrific incident, NSW Police established Strike Force Brabyn to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police will allege in court the 59-year-old man was behind the wheel of the forklift prior to the incident, and have issued him a court attendance notice for the charge of manslaughter.
He is due to appear before Penrith Local Court today.
