Penrith: Police investigating after man stabbed in thigh
A man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after an assault in western Sydney.

A man has been rushed to Nepean Hospital with stab wounds after an incident near a carpark in Penrith.
Police said emergency services responded to reports a man had been assaulted at a carpark on Station St at about 4.20pm.
“NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated a 30-year-old man for stab wounds to the leg before taking him to Nepean Hospital,” a police spokeswoman said.
“Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene, and have commenced an investigation into the incident.”
The man was stabbed near the Judges Carpark off Station St, across the road from the Tattersalls Hotel.
An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman described the man as being in a “serious condition” with stab wounds to the thigh.
He is now in a stable condition in hospital.
The road leading to the Judges Carpark was blocked by police for a short amount of time, but was reopened as of 6pm.
Police inquiries are ongoing.
