Strike Force Trawler Liverpool arrest

A St Marys man will face court after he allegedly organised to meet a young girl and pay her $200 for “sexual acts”.

Lee Simon Schwob, 55, was arrested in Liverpool by Strike Force Trawler detectives about 11.25am on Wednesday, after police began investigating him for online activity in December 2024.

Strike Force Trawler is an ongoing police initiative headed by the Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation internet Unit (CEIU), and investigates sexual abuse and exploitation of children through the internet and smart phone apps.

Police allege “sexual paraphernalia” was found in the man’s car which was seized during his arrest.

A search of his St Marys home also allegedly uncovered several USBs, 90g of cannabis and $40,000 in cash, all of which were taken by police.

Police allege the man was attempting to meet a young girl for “sexual acts” and had agreed to pay her $200.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with procuring a child under 16 years old for sexual activity.

Schwob was refused bail in the Liverpool Local Court and will face Penrith Local Court on March 14.

Investigations continue.
