A man who police allege crashed his car before threatening the elderly resident of a nearby house has been refused bail after he was allegedly “too aggressive” to appear in court.
David Peter Leembruggen, 39, of Windsor, was arrested on Saturday after the incident on Loder Cr, South Windsor.
According to court documents, police will allege that Leembruggen failed to negotiate a left-hand turn at about 1pm and crashed into the gutter.
Leembruggen then allegedly got out of his car and approached the front yard of a nearby house where he allegedly started to verbally abuse and threaten the elderly female resident.
He then allegedly went around the back of the house to a granny flat where he yelled for the occupant to come out.
The occupant refused, when police allege Leembruggen broke a window using his hand.
He was arrested at the scene and allegedly blew a blood-alcohol reading of 0.108.
He was charged with driving with middle range PCA, drive with a suspended licence, stalk or intimidate with intent to cause fear, and intentionally or recklessly damage property.
Police also charged Leembruggen with two counts of intentionally or recklessly damage property, contravening an AVO, stalk or intimidate with intent to cause fear, drive with a suspended license, and common assault in relation to several other alleged incidents.
Police allege on August 18, Leembruggen broke the window of a home in South Windsor at about 10pm.
Then, on August 22, Leembruggen allegedly contravened an AVO and intimidated a person in Londonderry at about 6am.
About two hours later, he allegedly broke the fly screen of a bedroom window of a house in Richmond and assaulted the resident.
Leembruggen was unable to apply for bail before Magistrate Geoffrey Hiatt in court on Monday after corrective services staff said he was “too aggressive” to bring to the AVL suite.
He was formally refused bail, and will next appear in Windsor Local Court on August 26.
