Krispymas is coming to Penrith.
The annual Krispymas lights display will take over Krispy Kreme’s Penrith store later this month.
The display will kick off with a free event on Friday, November 29, where Krispy Kreme will offer 1000 free original glazed doughnuts from 8.30pm.
Patrons will also be supporting a feel-good cause if they get in the ‘Krispymas’ spirit, with $1 from each four pack, dozen or shake bought on November 29 going to the RSPCA.
In-store festivities will kick off at 7pm, and will include a live Christmas choir from McCarthy Catholic College Emu Plains as well as a visit from Santa Claus himself.
There will also be face painting, kids games, photos aboard the ‘Krispymas’ sleigh, a display of vintage and classic cars, and the grand lighting of the Krispymas lights display.
Acting chief executive of RSPCA, Dr Bidda Jones, said she was thrilled to be partnering with Krispy Kreme.
“The holiday season is one of our busiest periods, with many animals finding themselves without a place to call home,” she said.
“The funds raised through Krispymas will help us provide care to animals in need over this time.”
Krispy Kreme Penrith store manager, Emily Potts, said the event was a Penrith tradition.
“Krispymas has grown bigger and bigger each year here at Penrith,” she said.
“We love that it brings people in our local community together for a fun night of celebrations.”
The Krispymas lights display will remain switched on until December 27.
