A police helicopter seen flying around the Penrith CBD this morning was connected to an incident involving four young men on Sunday.
They were arrested after a police pursuit in Jamisontown involving a police helicopter.
Police said officers from Nepean Police Are Command engaged in a short pursuit along Tench Ave at about 10.30am on Sunday.
The vehicle soon came to a stop on Tench Ave, and four men attempted to flee the scene.
Two juveniles were arrested after attempting to swim across the Nepean River. A third juvenile was also arrested.
Shortly afterwards, an 18-year-old man was arrested at Emu Plains train station and charged with driving a conveyance without consent, driving without a license, reckless driving in a dangerous manner, and resisting an officer.
Three juveniles were dealt with under the young offenders act.
The 18-year-old man was bail refused to appear before Penrith Local Court today.
