A woman accused of taking part in the alleged torture of another woman in Sydney’s west, before she was allegedly left to die, over an alleged drug dispute has been granted bail.

Jackie Weeks, 32, faced the Sydney Supreme Court – the highest court a defendant can apply for bail in – on Tuesday for a bail hearing over charges of detain in company with intent to obtain advantage occasioning actual bodily harm and special aggravated break and enter to inflict grievous bodily harm.

The charges stem from allegations Weeks took part in a disturbing torture of a western Sydney woman over a drug dispute in February.

Weeks’ partner and alleged co-offender Luke King, 31, faces the same allegations, plus additional charges of common assault, four counts of sexual intercourse without consent, specially aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.

He remains in custody on remand.

A different court was previously told the duo allegedly tied their victim up and boarded up her house before violently unleashing on her.

They allegedly then scribbled a fake suicide note and left her for dead.

She was saved when emergency services arrived and her house was declared a crime scene.

Weeks originally applied for bail in the Penrith Local Court, but was unsuccessful and remanded in custody.

During her Supreme Court Bail application on Tuesday, however, Weeks was granted bail by Justice Deborah Sweeney with a number of strict conditions.

These included daily reporting to the police, to not drink alcohol and take drugs unless medically prescribed, and being banned from the western Sydney suburb of Bidwill.

She was also forbidden to contact King in any way.

Additionally, she was ordered to get herself a mental health plan and participate in drug and alcohol counselling as well as trauma counselling.

She is next expected to face Penrith Local Court on Friday, July 18.
