Advice: Avoid the area. Plan your journey. Vehicles between 15 and 28 tonnes are now able to access the valley with Council permission, under stop/slow conditions. As the area remains a construction site, safety procedures must be followed. For vehicles between 15 and 28 tonnes to access the site: Please email the Manager Transport and Public Access, Nicole Hume at nhume@bmcc.nsw.gov.au with at least two working days’ notice to obtain a permit for the heavy vehicle access. A permit will be required to be carried and shown to traffic control on site. Traffic controllers will then coordinate access through the site. Please note that if the same vehicle needs to access the valley multiple times, only one permit will be required. Vehicles over 15 tonnes that are not scheduled to enter the valley will be turned back to ensure safety is maintained on site.
