Dylan Creswell: Man charged over Windsor shopping centre stabbing
A 53-year-old man has allegedly been stabbed in the leg by a 25-year-old man in a northwest Sydney shopping centre overnight.

A 25-year-old man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a man in a Hawkesbury shopping centre overnight, who tried to intervene during a fight with a security guard over requests for a mask.
Police were called to the Windsor Riverview Shopping Centre at 277 George St, Windsor on Tuesday night after reports a man had been stabbed.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the 25-year-old man, Dylan Creswell, of Doonside, a woman and two children were at the centre on George St, Windsor, when the woman was asked by a security guard to put on a mask about 8.20pm, Tuesday, January 12.
“A short time later, the man (Creswell) allegedly approached the security guard – a 59-year-old man – and pushed him before punching him a number of times,” she said.
“During this time, a member of the public – a 53-year-old man – intervened and a physical fight ensued, before the younger man (Creswell) allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the older man in the leg.”
Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command were called to the scene, where the found Creswell restrained by the customer and security guard.
“Officers arrested the man after a short struggle and took him to Windsor Police Station, where he was charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, affray, and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty,” the spokeswoman said.
Mr Creswell appeared at Penrith Local Court on January 13, he did not apply for bail.
He will next appear at Penrith on January 25.
