A Penrith teenager will remain behind bars on remand after he was allegedly involved in a group youth attack on a girl in Sydney’s southwest.

Cranebrook teen Lockyer Cook, 19, was denied bail at Penrith Local Court on March 7 after he and a group of unidentified youths allegedly attacked a girl in Carramar, near Fairfield, between 10pm and 10.20pm on March 1.

He was charged with affray and robbery in company, but has not entered pleas to either charge.

It is not known if police charged the unidentified youths.

The court heard the group allegedly stomped on her head but it was not clear if Cook, who had known the woman for several years, joined in.

Court documents state Cook also allegedly stole her phone.

Police apprehended him five days later while he was subject to two different bails for other alleged offences, the court heard.

Magistrate Stephen Corry denied Cook bail, and he was remanded in custody to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday, March 12.

Cook did not appear in court on Wednesday, and his matter was swiftly adjourned.

He is next expected to face Campbelltown Local Court on April 23.
