BWS St Clair: Teenagers charged after alleged bottle shop theft, assault
A man who tried to stop three alleged teen thieves at a western Sydney bottle shop needed nine stitches after one of the youths allegedly punched him in the head.

A man required nine stitches and a brain scan after he was allegedly punched in the head by a teenager, who is also accused of stealing more than $300 in alcohol from a western Sydney bottle shop.
NSW Police attended BWS on Melville Rd, St Clair, on Wednesday afternoon following reports of an alleged theft.
Officers will allege three teenage boys, aged 14 and 15, stole $375 worth of alcohol.
A 69-year-old man attempted to stop the trio from leaving but was allegedly punched in the head by one of the teenagers, who are then said to have fled on foot.
The man was taken to Mount Druitt Hospital, where he received nine stitches and underwent X-ray and CAT scans.
Meanwhile, police arrested the two 14-year-olds near the scene a short time after the alleged incident.
They were both taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with larceny.
One of them was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and unlawful entry on inclosed lands.
Both are both set to appear at a children’s court on November 7.
The 15-year-old was given a caution after he was also taken to the station, having been located in a backyard on Onslow St.
A BWS staff member who was on shift at the time of the alleged incident described it as “a horrible afternoon”.
