Woman hit while crossing Fairfield Rd, Guildford West

A woman was struck while crossing a road in Sydney’s west with her scooter, prompting police to ask for the public’s assistance.

Police are appealing for public assistance after a truck hit a woman on her mobility scooter at Guildford West on Saturday.

Police said emergency services were called to Fairfield Rd about 10.50am following reports an Isuzu flat-bed tow truck struck a woman, who was believed to be in her 70s.

Paramedics treated the woman before she was taken to Westmead hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Cumberland police spoke with the 58-year-old truck driver who was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers have started an investigation and are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision in the area at the time or any further information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
