Unit, commercial tower for 20 Parkes St Harris Park
A $250 million high-end complex will house 331 units across 47 storeys, a rooftop pool and corporate suites in the heart of Sydney’s west - just as the post-pandemic workforce returns to the office.

If living in a penthouse appeals to future apartment dwellers, the $250 million Paramount on Parkes complex could fit the bill when construction on the 47-storey tower at Harris Park wraps up.
Off-the-plan units, ranging from $573,000 for a one-bedroom flat to $1.2 million for a three-bedroom abode, are already being sold at 14-20 Parkes St.
A development application that added eight storeys has been lodged with Parramatta Council, and the submission will be assessed before a state government planning panel makes the final decision.
There are 331 apartments and a rooftop swimming pool earmarked for the Aland Development but the corporate market will also be catered for with six levels — 40 to 46 spanning 3400sq m — dedicated to office space.
The ground floor will house commercial and retail shops and there will be a six-deck basement carpark.
By the time the Parmount on Parkes development wraps up, the economy is forecast to bounce back from the pandemic and the workforce should return to CBDs following almost two years of working from home.
The Property Council of Australia this week welcomed the easing of restrictions and said the return of employees working in offices would start to revitalise CBDs including Parramatta.
The council’s NSW executive director, Luke Achterstraat, called on Premier Dominic Perrottet to set out his plans for leading the return to office through the return of the public sector so the private sector could follow in confidence.
“With a number of public sector offices now located in Paramatta CBD, this will also have a strong impact on the vibrancy of the Paramatta CBD,” he said.
