Girl, 17, caught on video punching Auburn police at Africultures Festival
A teenage girl has been arrested after punching police officers during a fight after a western Sydney festival.

An 18-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer after a series of brawls broke out at the Africultures Festival in Lidcombe.
The fight was caught of video by onlookers at Wyatt Park, who were leaving the park at around 7pm after the event had ended on Saturday.
Two women, both aged 18, were involved in the initial fight at the park when more fights began around the park simultaneously.
Africultures organisers issued a statement following the release of the video online, which has amassed more than 10,000 views.
“These girls are not known to Africultures and Africultures does not condone this behaviour,” the statement said.
“Well after the festival finished there was some anti-social behaviour by a very small group of girls … The police were in attendance and dealt with the situation quickly.”
In the footage up to four officers were seen confronting the woman who repeatedly threw punches at the officers, before she was tacked to the ground and arrested.
A second woman, also involved in the fight was arrested and charged with affray, while the first was charged with affray and assaulting an officer.
They will both appear before Burwood Court on March 28.
The Africultures event had around 40,000 people in attendance and has been running in the area for the last 11 years.
