Western Sydney Wanderers farewell Academy coach Arthur Diles
He helped create some of the best young footballers in the state but now the Wanderers are farewelling one of their top coaches.

Former Sydney Olympic and Sydney United player turned coach Arthur Diles has left the Western Sydney Wanderers Academy for an overseas opportunity.
Diles during his playing career also turned out for the likes of Parramatta Power, Crawley Town in England and Belgium’s KV Mechelen.

Then after a stint as technical director at Sydney Olympic he joined the Wanderers Academy back in 2015 and oversaw the development of numerous young players - and more than 30 who made their way into the A-League.
“Arthur always put the players and their development first which made him the perfect fit for the Wanderers Academy when we appointed him back in 2015,” said Wanderers Academy Technical Director Ian Crook.
“His value to our first grade and senior teams is undisputed and he will be missed.’’
Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said Diles was instrumental in creating a pathway from the under 13s to the A-league team during his time with the Academy.
“We wish him all the best in his next coaching stint and will be supporting him from afar,” he said.
