The Giants were formed for the first Super Netball competition in 2017 and from the start were a team of champions.
The likes of Kim Green and Susan Pettitt helped create the club which made to the Super Netball grand final in its first year before falling to the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the decider.

A year later they lost to the same side in the preliminary final but then failed to make the finals series at all in a rebuilding 2019.
We take a look at the players who have made the biggest impact for the Giants over the Super Netball years as the club heads into 2020.
While it was tough, with some top names missing from our list, here is our top five.
NO 5: JAMIE-LEE PRICE: This daughter of a rugby league gun is renown for her physical presence on the court and has developed into a starting seven Australian player at the Giants.
Price is one of the most dogged and determined players in the sport who is still improving in leaps and bounds and has many years ahead of her at the elite end of the game.
A crucial part of the Giants in the past and future.
NO 4: BEC BULLET: She was the first elite player to return from retirement after starting a family to play in the Super Netball competition.
Bulley’s impact was both on and off the court with the classy defender an inspiration to other netballers who may in the past have believed starting a family signalled the end of their sporting careers.
A former Australian defender, Bulley produced some of her best netball on her return from retirement for the Giants.
NO 3: CAITLIN BASSETT
Caitlin Bassett: One of netball’s biggest coups saw Bassett move from Queensland to Sydney to play for the Giants.
The towering and deadly-accurate shooter is regarded as one of the best players in the world and is the long-serving Australian captain.
Her leadership on the court has been as crucial as her accuracy and physical presence under the net for the Giants.
NO 2: SUSAN PETTITT: The now retired Pettitt it is a shooting legend at both the Giants and the Swifts, the team she left to play for the newly established Super Netball club back in 2017.
Pettitt showed extraordinary grit to fight her way back into the Australian team via performances with the Giants after a long break out of favour with national selectors.
She is best known for her composure under pressure for both the Giants and the Diamond and recently became a mother to baby Cooper.
NO 1: KIMBERLEE GREEN: Captain Courageous, the hardworking and inspirational leader of the Giants from season one who played a crucial role in creating the culture at the club.
A regular in the midcourt for the Australian Diamonds, Green’s experience was invaluable to the Giants before her retirement with injury.
She marshalled her troops, lead by example and captained with charisma and great insight.
She also showed enormous determination to come back from a potentially career-ending injury to lead the Giants until the end of 2019.
