Shamsia Hussaini pleads guilty to killing motorbike rider Joe Fraser at Lidcombe

A teen P-plater has admitted to her role in a crash that claimed the life of a much-loved young man affectionately known as ‘Snoop Dogg’.

A Guildford West woman has pleaded guilty to the death of Joe Fraser who was killed on his motorbike at Lidcombe.

Shamsia Hussaini, 19, clipped her four-wheel drive Toyota Prado into the back of the 26-year-old’s trail bike at the intersection of Nyrang St and Parramatta Rd on Saturday May 1 shortly before 3pm when the concreter was on his way to visit his close mate at nearby Regents Park.

She was charged with negligent driving occasioning death and entered the plea at Burwood Local Court last week.

Shamsia Hussaini faces sentencing next month.

Also known as Henga or Snoop Dogg, Mr Fraser was rushed to Westmead Hospital where he died shortly after the crash.

His death prompted an outpouring of grief from friends and family, including his proud father Tim who raised his only child as a single parent.

“We were very, very, very close — inseparable,’’ he said shortly following his death.

“He was me and I was him. I put my heart and soul into that child. He was so loved.’’

His funeral at St Joachim’s Catholic Church at Lidcombe was next to the primary school of the devout Christian who would go to church each Sunday.

The former Trinity Catholic College student also loved playing Oztag, fishing, music, rapping and fixing cars.

“He had so much to live for and was in the prime of his life,’’ Mr Fraser said.

“I should have went first but he did. Like they say, the good die young.’’

Hussaini’s bail was continued and she will face sentencing on October 7.
