Police looking for witnesses to old man being bashed in Lidcombe
A 77-year-old man was punched in the back of the head and kicked before he fell over in Lidcombe overnight police have said.

POLICE are appealing for information after a 77-year-old man was attacked for his mobile phone in Lidcombe overnight.
The man was walking down Railway St near the Royal Oak Hotel about 1.45am when he was allegedly punched in the back of the head and then kicked by two men, causing him to fall to the ground, police said.
The man was cut and bruised in the attack and went to a nearby pub for help.
The man told police one of the attackers tried to grab his phone before they walked off.
The men are described as being of Asian, and one was reportedly wearing a blue shirt.
They were last seen heading toward Remembrance Park.
Police are urging anyone who saw the attack to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
