Parramatta: Nasser Dib faces court over Church St brawl, enters not guilty plea

One of four youths charged after a violent brawl outside a hotel at Church St, Parramatta which left two teens hospitalised in December has faced court.
Sefton 18-year-old Nasser Dib was charged with affray after three other teenagers allegedly left another two teens in hospital on December 21 about 7.30pm.
Police allege two groups got involved in a verbal argument before one man made a threat and a punch was thrown, which knocked a 16-year-old unconscious.
During a fight between the groups, the 16-year-old allegedly produced a knife and stabbed a 17-year-old South Granville boy to his torso and his wrist.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery.
The 16-year-old was also taken to hospital but released.
Parramatta detectives arrested Dib and four other teens – two aged 16, another aged 18 and one aged 19.
The 19-year-old Rooty Hill man was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, custody of knife in public place, and three counts of possess prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on December 22.
The 16-year-old Mt Druitt boy was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The 16-year-old Whalan boy was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The other 18-year-old man was released pending further inquiries.
At Parramatta Local Court today, Dib pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Magistrate Peter Feather continued Dib’s bail and adjourned the matter to March 5.
