A world of colour will rain down on Sydney Olympic Park next weekend when the happiest fun run on the planet comes to town.
The Color Run begins its Australian tour at Sydney Olympic Park on Sunday, October 7.
Founded in 2011, the annual fun run is held across the world and this year’s superhero theme aims to celebrate the hero within.
Joining The Color Run for the first time this year will be the Rigoli family, of Toongabbie.
Michelle, Phillip and their three boys Xander 10, Seth, 7, and Chase, 4, decided to take part after they saw photos from previous years - and this year’s superhero theme was the icing on the colourful cake.
Throughout the 5km course participants will be doused with coloured powder and the aim is squarely on fun.
The race has no official finish times or winners and participants can walk or run, with everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes welcome.
After the race, the fun will continue with live music, dancing and colour throws.
The race has partnered with the Starlight Children’s Foundation, who will also host activities on the day, and participants can set up an online fundraising page when they register for the fun run.
