WELCOME to a brand new view of Supercoach, what we’re calling “Supercoach Local: The Battle of the Postcodes”.

After Round 1 of the AFL season, 270 teams have registered in Parramatta Advertiser’s area, part of the 184,000-strong national competition so far this year.

Port Power87 is leading the local campaign after a gripping AFL season kick-off which saw Richmond, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs, Brisbane, St Kilda, GWS and Fremantle all start the season with a win.

Top local supercoach Christopher from postcode 2145, which covers suburbs including Pendle Hill, Pemulwuy and Greystanes, scored 2282 points and is ranked 334th nationally, 116 behind the Supercoach leader Wal13Freo from postcode 3464 in Victoria's Central Goldfields, west of Bendigo.

A total of 116 Supercoach points separate first position and tenth position in Parramatta Advertiser’s competition.

The median score for all teams nationally was 1936 this week.
