Harris Park: Norma Zaiter accused of dangerous driving occasioning death of Bahkos Khodeir
A woman accused of hitting an elderly pedestrian with her car on western Sydney street has been slapped with a fresh charge in court after he died.

While Norma Zaiter was preparing to front court on negligent driving charges, 61-year-old Bahkos Khodeir died less than a month after a car struck him while he was walking in Harris Park.
Zaiter, of Harris Park, was granted bail but did not enter a plea at Parramatta Local Court today where she faced charges of dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and negligent driving occasioning death.
The 52-year-old is accused of driving dangerously when Mr Khodeir was walking north of the Good Street Bridge on Sunday, February 23, just after 3pm.
Mr Khodeir was rushed to Westmead Hospital with critical head injuries and died there this morning.
Zaiter’s lawyer requested an adjournment following the fresh charges relating to Mr Khodeir’s death this morning.
A brief will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
The matter will return to Parramatta Local Court on May 14.
