Five more men have been charged over an alleged $1.25 million car and boat rebirthing syndicate across Sydney.
Telopea man Mark John Jasper, 47, and Fairfield West man Elvis Kiseloski were among those charged and ordered to front Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday.
Strike Force Piddington detectives charged the men over their alleged involvement in a co-ordinated rebirthing criminal syndicate operating across NSW.
The strike force investigates allegations of fraudulent CTP green slips linked to the co-ordinated theft, rebirthing and sale of stolen cars including Rural Fire Service vehicles and vessels by a criminal syndicate operating across Sydney.
Between May and June 2020, investigators searched several locations across Sydney, including Ermington, Lidcombe, Granville, Kentlyn, Yennora and Telopea when they allegedly seized six stolen vessels, six stolen boat trailers and 12 stolen vehicles – including three Landcruiser utilities owned-by and purpose-built for the NSW Rural Fire Service worth almost $290,000.
The recovered vehicles and vessels were estimated to be worth more than $1.25 million.
Earlier this year, five men – aged 25, 26, 32 and two aged 27 – were arrested.
The five men were charged and remain before the courts.

As part of ongoing inquiries, strike force detectives have since charged a further five men including Jasper, who was charged with “inducing others to accept non-genuine identifier’’ at Pennant Hills last year when police allege he influenced a Services NSW employee to accept information that was not genuinely attached to the car.
Court papers allege he used a boat to deal with the proceeds of crime at Kemps Creek last January, and a Toyota Landcruiser from Auburn between April and May.
According to the documents, police allege Kiseloski used a Magic brand tilt trailer on December 12, 2018, at Rydalmere, and a Dunbier dual-axle boat trailer at Rydalmere on August 26, to deal with the proceeds of crime.
He was charged with publishing false, misleading material to obtain financial advantage or cause financial disadvantage in December 2018 at Rydalmere.
He is also accused of making a dishonest statement to Transport for NSW for a trailer registration application to obtain $150.
Charges for the three other men include:
● A 34-year-old South Granville man was charged for recklessly dealing in the proceeds of crime and possessing a vehicle with altered unique identifier. He is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on October 6.
● A 32-year-old Ermington man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for goods suspected stolen on premises (motor vehicle). He is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on October 14.
● A 27-year-old man was with knowingly facilitate rebirthing activity and participating in a criminal group. He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on October 7.
Investigations under Strike Force Piddington are continuing and more arrests are expected.
