Dramatic arrest of woman holding knife to teenage boy in South Wentworthville
POLICE pounced on a knife-wielding woman who assaulted and threatened a teenage boy in South Wentworthville yesterday.

A WOMAN who threatened a teenage boy with a knife has been charged with attempted murder after an incident in South Wentworthville yesterday.
Shocking footage of the arrest shows the 28-year-old woman assaulting a 13-year-old boy before threatening him with a knife.
Police are seen to surround the woman before seizing her by the shirt and dragging her away from the victim.
As she was pulled away, four officers pounced, disarming the woman and making the arrest.
The incident occurred at Centenary Rd just before 4.45pm.
The woman was arrested and taken to Merrylands Police Station before being transferred to Westmead hospital for assessment, where she was released a short time later back into police custody.
She was charged with attempted murder, detain person for advantage and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
The woman, from South Wentworthville, was refused bail and is due to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
The boy was not physically injured during the incident.
