Burgapalooza finds new home at Parramatta
BURGER festival Burgapalooza has a new home at Parramatta, for two days of epic feasting. But where will it go taste wise after the tequila and agave bacon jam, beef and bone marrow patty with porcini bacon butter and fermented pork jowl nduja concoction of last year?

BITE into Sydney’s best burgers with a dedicated food festival coming to Parramatta this month.
Burgapalooza began two years ago as the brainchild of Hashtag Burgers’ co-founder Ben Kagan.
“We just started as a small pop up at a pub actually, and the response grew so crazy that we had to change the venue,” Kagan said.
After sold-out events in the CBD and Marrickville, Burgapalooza is making its way west to its new home in Parramatta.
“We think it’s a good place to set up and we want to stick around,” Kagan said.
Joining the festival this year will be BL Burgers, Mister Gee, Burger Head, Superior Burger, Ume Burger, Chef’s Kitchen, Hardstyle Kitchen and Kagan’s own Down N’ Out.
Each vendor will create an original burger for the festival, and if previous years are anything to go by it can get quite competitive.
Last year there was a tequila and agave bacon jam creation from BL Burgers, a beef and bone marrow patty with porcini bacon butter from Down N’ Out, and a fermented pork jowl nduja concoction from Superior Burger.
Burgers can be washed down with craft beers from Mountain Goat Brewery and cocktails by Buffalo Trace and Fireball Whisky along with soft drinks from Jarritos.
The festival also includes a range of entertainment including a chilli eating competition, a chill-out zone, DJs and live music, and stand-up comedy.
The festival will run on September 22 and 23 at Prince Alfred Square, Parramatta.
