Police have released CCTV footage of a car of interest as they continue to investigate a house fire in Sydney’s northwest earlier this year.
Emergency services rushed to Neilson Cres at Bligh Park about 5.20am on February 4 following reports the home was engulfed in flames.
Multiple Fire and Rescue NSW crews attended and extinguished the fire but the home was completely destroyed.
No one was home at the time but officers from the Hawkesbury Police Area Command and the Financial Crimes Squad’s Arson Squad have since declared the fire was deliberately lit.
As part of their inquiries, police have released CCTV of a vehicle of interest driving through the Bligh Park and South Windsor areas around the time of the fire.
The car is a grey or silver 4WD with black rims and roof racks with a retractable sunshade and rooftop solar panels.
Footage shows the car driving through the area before mounting a kerb and turning its lights off.
Anyone with information about the car is being urged to contact Windsor Police on 4587 4099 or Crime Stoppers.
Police will address the media on Friday.
