Auburn Redyard’s entertainment precinct will unveil its new look with a festival of food, music and film next weekend.

The Auburn Spice Market will turn the recently renovated alfresco precinct into a food truck carnival on October 20 and 21 with henna tattoos, workshops, face painting, light installations and music.

Joining the market will be a range of cuisines including Japanese street food from Shiso Fine, Korean fried chicken from Chicken Hustle Food Truck, Filipino soul food from Pasalubongs, smoked meats from 2 Smokin Arabs, South American from Sabor Food Truck, Mexican from Sol y Luna’s Mexican and vegetarian and vegan options from Falafel Bros, while Duo Duo takes care of dessert with fried ice cream.

The weekend will also see the launch of the International Film Program at Reading Cinemas Auburn, which begins with a screening of the Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or award-winning Japanese film Shoplifters on Friday.

The Auburn Spice Market will run from noon until 8pm on October 20 and 21 and entry is free.
