Auburn: Chinese national arrested at South Pde
An Auburn street was brought to a standstill during a dramatic arrest which saw police swarm South Pde to detain a man wanted over an alleged assault and act of indecency.

A Chinese national has been charged after a dramatic arrest which saw police — including officers from the Public Order and Riot Squad — arrest the man at South Pde, Auburn, this morning.
Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad, Australian Border Force and the dog unit arrested the 26-year-old man about 6.40am today over two outstanding warrants.
The warrants related to an alleged assault and act of indecency.
The man was taken to Auburn police station, where he was charged with the two outstanding warrants for failing to comply with reporting obligations and assault with act of indecency.
He was ordered to appear at Burwood Local Court today where he was bail refused.
He is due to re-appear at the same court on December 13.
