Amos St, Sydney Smith Park: Tradie falls down stairs at Westmead

A tradesman has been rushed to hospital after he injured himself falling down a flight of stairs while on a job in Sydney’s west.

A tradesman in his 40s has suffered head and chest injuries after falling from the staircase of a Westmead home where he was working on Thursday morning.

A CareFlight Helicopter responded to the job shortly after 11am when in the grounds of Sydney Smith Park at Amos St.

CareFlight’s medical team made their way to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic conducted a clinical assessment on the worker, which included an ultrasound, and administered pain relief.

CareFlight’s medical team provided ongoing observation for the man while he was driven with NSW Ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
