Ryde planning review: Greater Sydney Commission releases terms of reference

The Greater Sydney Commission has started its review of all planning matters in Ryde, with infrastructure, housing and transport among the key areas.

The Greater Sydney Commission has started its review of all planning matters in Ryde, with infrastructure, housing and transport among the key areas.

The “assurance review”, led by Chief Commissioner Lucy Turnbull, will focus on development in Macquarie Park business park and its broader impact on the Ryde community. It will look at policies on housing and industrial lands, as well as infrastructure planning for education, transport, roads and open space.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian called for the commission’s intervention following a request from Ryde state Liberal MP Victor Dominello in November.

The assurance panel will hold two “listening sessions” in early February. Details: greater.sydney/ assurance-review
