Man to face court after alleged sex act in front of kids

A 55-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly committed a sexual act in front of two children in Sydney's north on Sunday.

A man has been charged after he allegedly committed a sexual act in front of two children in Sydney's north.

Police were called after a 13-year-old girl was reportedly approached by a man before he allegedly exposed himself on Pembroke Street in Epping about 12.40pm Sunday (May 31).

Police allege that as the girl walked away and called police the man then allegedly exposed himself to a 12-year-old boy on nearby Smith Street.

Officers arrived on scene before they arrested a 55-year-old man and took him to Ryde Police Station.

He was charged with carrying out a sexual act with another without consent, and wilful and obscene exposure in a public place.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Monday.
