Macquarie Park: pedestrian dies after colliding with van on M2 Motorway

A 26-year-old man has died after being hit by a van in Sydney’s northwest on Thursday morning.
About 12.40am, emergency services were called to the M2 Motorway at Macquarie Park after a van and a pedestrian had collided.
Ryde Police Area Command officers found the pedestrian with critical injuries - he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
The 36-year-old van driver was taken to the hospital for mandatory testing.
Police established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
