CCTV shows armed man terrify workers at West Ryde McDonald’s
CCTV has been released as police hunt for a man who held up a Sydney McDonald’s restaurant, threatening employees with a knife and grabbing one worker by the neck in a terrifying ordeal.

Confronting CCTV footage has been released as the search continues for a man who stormed into West Ryde McDonald’s armed with a knife and threatened staff before fleeing with cash.
Police were called to the fast food restaurant at the intersection of Marsden and Victoria Roads at about 1.20am last Thursday after reports a man was brandishing a knife at staff.
CCTV images released by NSW Police show the man - wearing a face mask and black hoodie - enter the store before allegedly demanding cash.
He then rushes behind the store counter before grabbing a 19-year-old worker around the neck and snatching the cash before fleeing on foot.
A fellow staff member is seen looking in horror.
The man was last seen running on Marsden Road.
Police said the employee was not injured but left shaken by the terrifying ordeal.
Police established a crime scene and searched the area with a dog unit.
The man is described as being 160cm to 170cm tall, between 25-30 years of age, average build, olive skin, and wore a grey hoodie at the time of the attack.
