Epping train station: Woman hit by car

A woman in her 60s has suffered suspected head injuries after being struck by a car out the front of a train station in Sydney’s northwest.

The tragic truth about road deaths in Australia

A woman in her 60s has been rushed to hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car outside a Sydney train station, with a helicopter also called by paramedics to assist.

The incident took place near Epping train station, at the cross street of Langston Pl and Pembroke St, about 1.20pm.

NSW Ambulance Inspector Carolyn Parish painted a grim picture of the scene of the crash.

“When paramedics arrived, they found a woman with head injuries,” she said.

“She was treated at the scene by intensive care paramedics and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital via road ambulance with a medical team on board.

“Accidents like this can cause trauma for both patients and attending paramedics. We always prepare ourselves for the worst when a pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle. While the patient was seriously injured, we were able to stabilise her before she went to hospital.”
