A pedestrian has died after a suspected hit and run at Epping earlier this month.
About 3.20pm on Sunday, the 78-year-old man died at the Royal North Shore Hospital.
Emergency services were called to Boronia Ave about 7.45pm on March 6, after a resident heard a “loud noise” and came out to find a man lying unconscious on the road.
NSW Ambulance and police officers rendered assistance while a medical team was flown in by the Toll helicopter, which landed on a tennis court in Grant Cl.
The man was airlifted to Royal North Shore in a critical condition, suffering internal injuries.
Crash Investigation Unit (CIU) officers established that a light-coloured sedan was driving along the road when the man was hit.
As inquiries continue officers are appealing for the driver of the vehicle – or anyone who saw the vehicle or has dashcam vision which may be relevant – to come call the CIU or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
