A former Scout master has been arrested over the alleged historic sexual assault of an 11-year-old boy in Sydney and the Central Coast.
Daryll Salt, 53, was arrested yesterday at his home in Wellington near Dubbo over the alleged sexual assault of a boy on two occasions in 1993.
Police will allege an 11-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by Salt once while on a camp at Glenning Valley and then again at a Gladesville scout hall.
Salt, who was 26 when the alleged assaults occurred, has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count of committing an indecent act.
He was due to appear in Burwood Local Court on Friday. However, his appearance has been rescheduled to bail court this weekend.
The alleged assaults were first reported to Ryde police last year which prompted an investigation and Salt’s eventual arrest.
Salt remains in custody.
