Woman rushed to hospital with suspected drug overdose after North Sydney Halloween party

POLICE made 13 drug-related arrests and a woman, 20, was rushed to hospital during a Halloween party at the Greenwood Hotel.

North Sydney: Police held an operation at the Greenwood Hotel on Saturday night. A music event was held at the venue with patrons turning up in Halloween outfits, and officers patrolled the area with a drug dog for several hours. They searched 25 people and made 13 arrests, with the majority of arrests for drug possession. One man was charged with supplying prohibited drugs, while a 20-year-old woman was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital by ambulance while allegedly suffering from the effects of a drug overdose.

Mosman: A resident noticed her motorcycle was missing on Sunday morning. A similar incident had occurred in July but the motorcycle was found a few streets away. Police are investigating this matter and are asking anyone who sees a motorcycle parked in Mosman which is out of place to contact North Sydney Police Station on 9956 3199.

Crows Nest: Police were patrolling the area at about 2am on Monday when they stopped a vehicle for a random breath test. Police also decided to search the four occupants and the vehicle, and a small amount of cannabis and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found. No one was charged but the drugs were seized to be destroyed at a later date.

Neutral Bay: A man was removed from The Oaks hotel due to his behaviour on Saturday night. The man then walked across the road to a pie shop where he purchased a pie and sat down to eat it. He went to purchase another pie but tried to leave without paying. After being ordered to leave the store by an employee, he became argumentative and stepped on the counter. He took a pie from the warmer and left without paying, but was chased down by an employee who argued with the man while calling 000. Police arrived within minutes and noticed the man running along Ben Boyd Rd. Police have since identified the man and charges are likely to be laid.

Kurraba Point: A resident noticed his inflatable rib boat was missing on Saturday afternoon. On closer inspection he noticed a wheel trail and several footprints in the mud, believed to belong to the offenders. Police attended the scene and spoke to neighbours and investigations are continuing.

North Sydney: A piggy bank with $500 was stolen from a vehicle on Hipwood St. The owner noticed the front window of the vehicle was smashed on Monday morning on his way to work. The vehicle had also been ransacked. Police were called and investigations are continuing.

Harbourside LAC: After several weeks of investigations, police have now arrested and charged a Mount Druitt man with 15 offences. The 36-year-old is believed to be linked to a rise in break-ins to garages and bicycle thefts in the area. Other incidents still under police investigation could also be linked to the man with the help of DNA evidence.
