A driver has been arrested twice in as many days for alleged drug and traffic offences on Sydney’s north shore.
The 50-year-old Enfield woman was allegedly caught driving under the influence of drugs after her car was stopped by police on Harris St in Willoughby about 9.35am on Tuesday.
NSW Police said the woman was allegedly seen by officers trying to dispose of a small plastic bag containing a granular substance believed to be methamphetamine and a search of her Toyota Corolla also allegedly uncovered a small bottle of liquid believed to be GHB.
The woman was breath-tested at the scene and returned an alleged positive result for methamphetamine.
Checks revealed her licence had previously been suspended due to excess demerit points.
The woman was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station where she underwent an oral fluid test and returned another allegedly positive result for methamphetamine.
She was charged with driving on a suspended licence, supplying prohibited drugs and possessing prohibited drugs, and was released from custody pending lab results from the oral fluid test.
About 24 hours later, highway patrol officers were again patrolling Willoughby when they claim the same woman drove past their car in the same Toyota Corolla.
The woman was stopped, returned another alleged positive result for driving under the influence of methamphetamine and was rearrested for driving on a suspended licence.
Portable scales, numerous small resealable plastic bags and other drug implements were also alleged seized from her car.
The woman was taken to Chatswood Police Station where a secondary oral fluid test returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
She was charged with driving on a suspended licence and released from custody on strict bail conditions.
NSW Police said further action would be taken pending lab results from the second oral fluid test.
