A man is in hospital after a chainsaw accident unfolded at a property on Sydney’s upper north shore.
Paramedics were called to Bobbin Head Rd near the Pacific Hwy at Turramurra about 12.30pm on Monday following reports a man had been injured by a chainsaw.
Paramedics said the man, aged in his 30s, suffered face and neck injuries in the incident.
The Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter responded to treat the man, who was taken to Royal Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
“This was a traumatic incident, with the patient suffering two significant lacerations to his face and neck,” NSW Ambulance inspector Christie Marks said.
“In order to treat the wounds, which resulted in significant bleeding, paramedics applied manual pressure to the area.
“The specialist medical team from the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter then used quick clot dressings to further control the bleeding.
“This was an unfortunate accident but a reminder to please be careful when using power tools.”
