Team spirit started in the womb for these water polo playing twins
FOR fraternal twins Lilli and Ruby Borozan playing water polo is all about team spirit.
FRATERNAL twins Lilli and Ruby Borozan continue to improve as water polo players, but for the modest sisters, the game is all about team spirit.
Lilli and Ruby were both part of the Drummoyne team that took out the state championships in Gosford from February 8-10.
Both were named in the Under 14 state squad following their performances at that tournament.
After making the development squad they will head to a training camp in April in an attempt to qualify for the final side contesting the nationals later that month.
Both girls were thrilled after winning their first state championship and qualifying for the state squad, but both preferred to talk about their team mates.
"It was really exciting (making the squad). I was really happy for those (in the team) who got in, but felt a bit sorry for the people who tried out and didn't get in," Lilli said.
Seven girls from the team of 11 made the squad and Lilli was equally excited about her teams undefeated start and top position so far in the metro season.
Both girls said they loved the game.
Ruby demonstrated the twins' dedication by pulling out of a chance to swim in the open water swimming nationals in order to play in the final with her team.
