A MOSMAN designer is set to make a splash on the catwalk at New York Fashion Week.

Patreece Botheras launched Duskii two years ago after noticing a gap in the market for fashionable activewear for the water.

Since then the brand has gathered a worldwide following and could have an even brighter future after showing at the prestigious event.

“It’s so beyond any dream I could ever imagine,” she said.

“I feel very grateful to be part of it.”

The Duskii show will be held in Chelsea on September 10 with the Australian agency Fashion Palette.

And top buyers from stores including Saks, Barneys and Nordstrom are expected to be looking on.

It will only be her second ever catwalk show after her debut at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week this September.

Botheras is a self-taught designer and works with head designer Bonnie Coumbe to create the designs. She previously had her own real estate agency but always wanted to do something creative.

“It’s inspired by a combined love of fitness and fashion,” she said.

“They are as functional as they are chic.”

Duskii will show 14 pieces on the runway in New York.

The brand is currently stocked by top online fashion retailers including Net-a-Porter and boutiques in Australia, US and Spain.
