THE sky is the limit for young sporting stars Sarah Dennis and Jay Ong after both claimed awards at the Junior Sport Star Awards.
Sarah pipped a number of strong local candidates to be named the Mosman Daily's Junior Sport Star of the Year, while Jay took out the Young Achiever award.
Sarah is a member of the NSW and Australian alpine skiing teams and finished the 2012 season ranked No.1 in slalom and No.2 in giant slalom in the junior national rankings.
Jay is currently ranked No.2 ping pong player in the Under 13 age group in Australia after finishing runner-up at last year's national championships.
Sarah is currently overseas and was unable to attend the awards, but Jay said he had a fantastic night.
"I was really quite surprised that I won," he said.
"It was pretty big news for me. I wasn't expecting it."
