Roseville: Woman dies on busy north shore thoroughfare

A woman believed to be in her 70s has lost her life after being struck by a car on a busy north shore road.

A pedestrian has died following a crash on Sydney’s north shore.

Emergency services were called to the busy intersection of Boundary and Wandella Ave in Roseville at 7am on Sunday after reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.

NSW Paramedics attended the scene to treat the woman believed to be in her 70s.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command attended and found the woman had suffered critical injuries from the crash.

The woman’s injuries were too severe and she died.

The driver of a Mitsubishi wagon, a man aged in his 50s was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police have established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined by specialist police.

Boundary Rd at Roseville was closed to traffic between Ferncourt Ave and Archer Street.

Buses are avoiding Boundary Street and instead diverting via Penshurst Street and Ashley Street.

Diversions are in place and the thoroughfare will be closed for some time as police investigate.

Light vehicles: Archer St, Ashley St, Penhurst St in both directions.

Heavy vehicles, not including B-doubles: Pacific Hwy, Mona Vale Rd and Forest Way in both directions.
