Pop-up burger joint feeds foodie buzz in North Sydney

WITH burgers that look this good it’s highly likely some people keen to get their jaws around one won’t mind a trip across the harbour to North Sydney.
It’s where the pop-up outlet Burgers by Josh will open in two weeks and where lunchtime queues are to be expected in the quest to devour some of Sydney’s tastiest burgers.
The business is run by Josh Arthurs in partnership with Hashtag Burgers’ fanatics Archie Saliba and Ben Kagan and follows on from their sell-out events hosted at Surry Hills Cafe Lounge and Glebe’s Different Drummer.
Mr Arthurs, who lives in North Sydney, has been a chef for nine years and said his latest pop-up would have “an exclusive feel to it”.
His Instagrammable creations have caught the attention of food bloggers with his reputation amongt the lovers of all things great and greasy now unrivalled and due largely to his signature Wagyu mince patty preparation, flavoursome house-made sauces and eccentric blends of flavour through a variety of South-West Americana style ingredients.
Oozing with sauce, the tempting burgers are stacked with juicy layers of veggies and meat.
He will serve just four different burgers in North Sydney: Fat Tony, Primo, Phat Joe and J Burger.
The burger joint, which is due to open within two weeks, will be on The Upper Deck of the Greenwood Plaza opposite the Greenwood Hotel.
Mr Arthurs is planning to be in the location for two months and will then make a decision on whether he wants to stay.
“It’s a really great location,” he said.
Burgers by Josh will open from 11:30am – 3:00pm Monday to Wednesday and 11:30am - 4pm and 5:30pm - 9:00pm Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, Greenwood Plaza has started a $9 million redevelopment of its food court. The plans include an upgrade to existing outlets and an increase in food court tenancies.
The project is expected to be completed by March next year.
