New figures have revealed more than 90 people have tested positive for coronavirus on Sydney’s north shore, with one suburb making up almost one-fifth of the cases.
Data published by NSW Health has revealed the region’s top postcodes for confirmed COVID-19 cases based on a person’s location of usual residence.
The 2065 postcode, taking in Crows Nest, St Leonards, Greenwich and Naremburn, emerged the region’s hotspot with 18 people testing positive for the virus as of Wednesday.
Also in double figures was the 2068 postcode, taking in Willoughby, Middle Cove and Castlecrag, with 13 cases.
Turramurra and Warrawee had 11 cases, while the 2066 postcode taking in suburbs including Lane Cove had 10.
NSW Health said a total of 2298 confirmed cases of the virus had been detected across the state on Thursday with people aged 20-29 accounting for 502 cases.
Cases on the north shore have included a Year 7 student at Willoughby Girls High School who tested positive in March.
